	David Staveley email: cmr @cmruk.com :: Profile:: David comes to his role with a background of building and restructuring the international businesses that he has run, on 4 continents, for two major textile and clothing groups – the American VF Corporation and the UK’s original £1million IPO, Coats. Undertaking company purchases and sales for these multinationals, followed by a period as CEO of a listed Plc in a turnaround situation in Scotland gave him an appetite for MA. His Mergers and Acquisitions experience covers Management Buy-In’s and Out’s in the UK as well as more conventional company mergers, sales and purchases in North and South America, Australasia and Europe. Frequent moves have led to a facility to rapidly assess the uniqueness of new companies and thereby extract maximum potential. His first stand-alone role as country manager was at 24 when he began to experience the subtleties of negotiating in different cultures that has stood him in good stead facilitating negotiations in today’s world!

He is a strong advocate of customer focused organisations, quality management, integrated technology and team building within all levels of a company.

	David Ashcroft email: cmr @cmruk.com :: Profile:: Qualified as an Engineer and trained in economics, David spent his early years as a financial analyst. After experience in the automotive, construction and retail sectors, he joined a major European bank to oversee the rationalisation of the industrial and commercial subsidiaries. The period arranging the refinancing, disposals, mergers and acquisitions was invaluable experience. Having managed large corporate companies up to Group Chief Executive level, he is able to offer his strategic and financial experience to the SME sector. He has acquired (and sold) several businesses on his own account and has first hand experience of the pressures, concerns and constraints of the owner/managers and shareholders of small to medium sized private companies. He is an advocate of the direct action approach to management. His current portfolio includes a wide range of sectors from engineering, automotive, media (television programme production) to retail operations.

	Dr. Allen Barnatt email: cmr @cmruk.com :: Profile:: Dr Allen Barnatt spent 25 years in the chemical industry at senior line and corporate level, including technical management, business development, technology licensing and marketing. He has been closely involved with the development of profitable new business in small, medium and large international companies, using a range of techniques including licensing, acquisition, synergy identification/implementation and university liaison. Following senior management positions at Lankro Chemicals and Baxenden Chemicals he was appointed Corporate Development manager of RTZ Chemicals, and later at Rhone Poulenc Chemicals. He has a degree in chemistry and a PhD in polymer chemistry, has published many techno/commercial papers, and served at senior levels on several Trade Associations.
